Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavino Gabino in the 43rd minute. João Garcia made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Waldemar Matorin immediately put the ball in play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Amador Hartz might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Johan Ahlqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amador Hartz ran back to his position shaking his head. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Hartz in the 82nd minute of play. The Black Rose 1979 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
