In the 17th minute, Aírton Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quebra Ossos FC's Richard Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Brkić in the 22nd minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Richard Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Quebra Ossos FC's zone, Luka Saje stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Luka Saje tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 minutes of play, FC Koper's Džerfi Škrinjar made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Breckenfeld was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, FC Koper's Claudio Brkić got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half FC Koper were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Betão Marinho to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Luka Saje dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Richard Breckenfeld, 0-3. In the 55th minute, Claudio Brkić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Breckenfeld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Saje, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Claudio Brkić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Richard Breckenfeld made a huge save. Richard Breckenfeld made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Brkić in the 67th minute. After some careless play in the FC Koper defense, Betão Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bine Šercelj. The FC Koper fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bine Šercelj should have stopped the shot. When Marino Gregorič fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Koper's protests and gave Marino Gregorič a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Koper booed when Quebra Ossos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quebra Ossos FC's zone, Marino Gregorič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Breckenfeld came out of the goal and Marino Gregorič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Luka Saje fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Téo Fonseca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bine Šercelj. FC Koper's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
