The supporters of União dos 7 FC booed when Quebra Ossos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Quebra Ossos FC's Elói Branco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Botelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Jairo Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the União dos 7 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Saldanha couldn't finish the play. After having played for 15 minutes, Elói Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quebra Ossos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elói Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to União dos 7 FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Reynaldo Vaz hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Aírton Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Botelho. União dos 7 FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aírton Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 27 played minutes União dos 7 FC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Duarte. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Elói Branco sped through União dos 7 FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Botelho. After 31 played minutes União dos 7 FC got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Aguiar. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Sílvio Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quebra Ossos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 37th minute Gugu Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Quebra Ossos FC's Paulo de Barros got a free kick in the 44th minute. After recieving a nice pass, União dos 7 FC's Caio de Moraes tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luís Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Quebra Ossos FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Saldanha in the 52nd minute of play forced União dos 7 FC's goalkeeper Luís Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 played minutes União dos 7 FC got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Aguiar. Luís Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elói Branco's late challenge caught a União dos 7 FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elói Branco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, Quebra Ossos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Branco to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th match minute, União dos 7 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Téo Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinei Carneiro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Quebra Ossos FC's Richard Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Ortiz in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Luís Gustavo de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gugu Saldanha hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Luís Botelho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gugu Saldanha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. With a little luck, União dos 7 FC's Luís Botelho got control of the ball when Aírton Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sílvio Corrêa got free with Luís Botelho in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. União dos 7 FC's Luís Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Saldanha in the 83rd minute of play. Joel Ortiz scored 1-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Richard Breckenfeld, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 93rd minute Duarte de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elói Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Botelho having to interfere. Quebra Ossos FC played a much better game than União dos 7 FC and deserved their victory. The União dos 7 FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
