Richard Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Figueruela in the 12th minute of the match. Richard Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Riverol in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gayand Pombo sped through Quebra Ossos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Richard Breckenfeld. When Gugu Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Quebra Ossos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu Saldanha couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Quebra Ossos FC's Sílvio Corrêa got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 29 played minutes, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Ceferino Aizaran shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richard Breckenfeld came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chivos de Punto Fijo reached it. 29 minutes into the game, Dário Sabóia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quebra Ossos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chivos de Punto Fijo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Quebra Ossos FC's Dário Sabóia got a free kick in the 29th minute. Richard Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gayand Pombo in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute Sílvio Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Pasqua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Breckenfeld came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Chivos de Punto Fijo's Christopher Riverol. But to his dismay, Christopher Riverol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gayand Pombo to make the kick off. Richard Breckenfeld came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Chivos de Punto Fijo's Christopher Riverol. But to his dismay, Christopher Riverol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 55th minute, Christopher Riverol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Quebra Ossos FC booed when Chivos de Punto Fijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauren Traspuesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quebra Ossos FC's Richard Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gayand Pombo in the 60th minute of play. Richard Breckenfeld was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Gayand Pombo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gayand Pombo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Riverol in the 72nd minute of play forced Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Richard Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Quebra Ossos FC's Richard Breckenfeld got control of the ball when Freddy Figueruela tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Ulizes Maquibar was substituted for Ceferino Aizaran. In the 90th match minute, Chivos de Punto Fijo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauren Traspuesto to maneuver through the defense. Martin Pasqua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Freddy Figueruela came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Chivos de Punto Fijo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Figueruela couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Chivos de Punto Fijo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Quebra Ossos FC throughout the match.
