The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Neto got free with Remo da Costa in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Jailson Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remo da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Remo da Costa came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Jailson Batista. But to his dismay, Jailson Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a little luck, S S Palestra Italia's Remo da Costa got control of the ball when Jailson Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Galo Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 minutes, Dagoberto Rossi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S S Palestra Italia and the Barcellos Mineiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes S S Palestra Italia got a freekick which was hit by Dagoberto Rossi. 25 minutes into the match, Jailson Batista dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Remo da Costa, 3-0. After a rather tough play, S S Palestra Italia's César Antunes got a free kick in the 29th minute. The audience was convinced that Jailson Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Remo da Costa was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. After 37 minutes S S Palestra Italia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gernando Bueno who took care of the corner kick. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gernando Bueno was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remo da Costa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

After some careless play in the S S Palestra Italia defense, Jailson Batista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remo da Costa. The S S Palestra Italia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo da Costa should have stopped the shot. João Adolfo Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Jailson Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Remo da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes, Jailson Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcellos Mineiro FC and the S S Palestra Italia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Barcellos Mineiro FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jailson Batista hit a great ball. The supporters of S S Palestra Italia booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's João Adolfo Hermes got a free kick in the 80th minute. Galo Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Remo da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcellos Mineiro FC. 85 minutes into the match, S S Palestra Italia's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Neto came free, but Remo da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Jailson Batista made a precise shot to the right of Remo da Costa. S S Palestra Italia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. S S Palestra Italia's Remo da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Galo Mineiro in the 94th minute of play. Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
