When Caio Luz fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S S Palestra Italia's protests and gave Caio Luz a yellow card for diving instead. Diego Leme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Remo da Costa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 23rd minute of the match, Diego Leme tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Remo da Costa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Remo da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Paulo da Mata during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. S S Palestra Italia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
