After a rather tough play, Guapira's Andrézinho Sanches got a free kick in the 4th minute. Guapira's Allan Lopez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Guapira from getting a goal against them. Abel Marquez hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Remo da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho Sanches in the 11th minute of the match. With a little luck, Guapira's Allan Lopez got control of the ball when César Terra tried to sneak it across the goal line. S S Palestra Italia's Remo da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Vander in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Rômulo Macedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Allan Lopez. S S Palestra Italia's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Terra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. S S Palestra Italia fully deserved thier win.
