Caco Rossi scored 2-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Claudinho Moura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 29 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Amaral. In the 34th minute, Vito Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Montesclarense E.C. from getting a goal against them. With his leg Luiz Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when AS Pikachuzim's Dadá Torres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 44th minute, Victor da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AS Pikachuzim's Claudinho Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Rossi in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caco Rossi was the one to do the kick off. Vito Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Monteiro having to interfere. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Batista in the 55th minute of play. Vito Batista took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Monteiro. Luiz Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After 61 minutes, Vito Batista made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Montesclarense E.C.'s Luiz Monteiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th minute, Vitório Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Dadá Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dadá Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Monteiro having to interfere. Luiz Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Batista in the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of AS Pikachuzim booed when Montesclarense E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Victor da Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Monteiro skillfully saved the ball. Aílton Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Luiz Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Pikachuzim. 80 minutes into the game, AS Pikachuzim's Dadá Torres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Luiz Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Luiz Monteiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when AS Pikachuzim's Vito Batista shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 7-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 95 minutes of play, AS Pikachuzim's Dadá Torres made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Monteiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! AS Pikachuzim's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
