The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when EoDu Uai Sôccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vinícius Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. EoDu Uai Sôccer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro Esporte Clube the free kick. After 14 played minutes EoDu Uai Sôccer got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Vargas. Vinícius Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 20th match minute, EoDu Uai Sôccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Valle to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, EoDu Uai Sôccer's Isaltino Vargas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusébio Magalhães got free with Orlando Guimarães in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind EoDu Uai Sôccer's goalkeeper Orlando Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute of the match Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a corner. EoDu Uai Sôccer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eusébio Magalhães ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Vicente Chaves almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but EoDu Uai Sôccer's Orlando Guimarães did a great save. Vicente Chaves had several of the EoDu Uai Sôccer's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 32 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Orlando Guimarães as he didn't even see the shot coming. Orlando Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Chaves in the 39th minute. Vinícius Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Ian Abreu was substituted for Vicente Chaves. Vinícius Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Pereira in the 52nd minute of play. Naldo Guedes hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Vítor Simão could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Vinícius Macedo however easily saved by the left post. When Renatinho Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renatinho Linhares couldn't finish the play. But to his dismay, Eusébio Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Orlando Guimarães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ian Abreu went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute, Eusébio Magalhães made a precise shot to the right of Orlando Guimarães. EoDu Uai Sôccer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Linhares in the 84th minute of play forced EoDu Uai Sôccer's goalkeeper Orlando Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. EoDu Uai Sôccer's Orlando Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Linhares in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of EoDu Uai Sôccer booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Piazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube had played much better football throughout.
