After some careless play in the PEÇONHENTO FC MG defense, Flávio Vander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisão Simões. The PEÇONHENTO FC MG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisão Simões should have stopped the shot. After 9 played minutes PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a freekick which was hit by Dênis Gomes. Dudu Neļķis charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dudu Neļķis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of C T Futebol Clube booed when PEÇONHENTO FC MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Neļķis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisão Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dênis Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the PEÇONHENTO FC MG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dênis Gomes couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, C T Futebol Clube's Carlos Fernando Faria got a free kick in the 28th minute. Allan Lopez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elói Nogueira in the 31st minute. When Dudu Neļķis was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. After 34 played minutes PEÇONHENTO FC MG got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Neļķis. In the 37th minute Bruno da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Lopez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 42 minutes into the game, when Miguel Moraes put in a rough tackle. In the 42nd minute, one of C T Futebol Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C T Futebol Clube. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elói Nogueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. C T Futebol Clube's Allan Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Pitta in the 51st minute of play. Allan Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dênis Gomes took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Lopez. Allan Lopez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Vivaldo Pitta scored 4-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Allan Lopez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of PEÇONHENTO FC MG booed when C T Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 80 minutes into the match, C T Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis Gomes came free, but Allan Lopez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C T Futebol Clube's Allan Lopez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Gomes in the 86th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the PEÇONHENTO FC MG players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
