Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) 2 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Steckamp came free, but Nils Elmhuus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4thth minute of the game Teddy Tholsted who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Austria's Hans-Jürgen Pötscher was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th minute Denmark were awarded a corner. Paw Carbac went to the cornerflag to take it. Hans-Jürgen Pötscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teddy Tholsted, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Justus Lintorf kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match Paw Carbac shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 14th minute Andre Præstvang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Austria's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Paw Carbac was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Svend Betz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Austria's Hans-Jürgen Pötscher did a great save. 19 minutes into the match, Austria's goal looked a bit too open when Teddy Tholsted came free, but Hans-Jürgen Pötscher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Austria's Robin Steckamp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nils Elmhuus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Austria's goalkeeper Hans-Jürgen Pötscher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
