Ted Kamps went to the cornerflag to take it. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ronnys Lärjungar! Leendert Borg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Beck in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Ronnys Lärjungar's goal looked a bit too open when Joeri Buys came free, but Edvin Bruhn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leendert Borg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Ahlrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertus FC's Joeri Buys got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joeri Buys's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edvin Bruhn firmly grabbed it by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Edvin Bruhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joeri Buys in the 51st minute of play. After some careless play in the Ronnys Lärjungar defense, Joeri Buys kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edvin Bruhn. The Ronnys Lärjungar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvin Bruhn should have stopped the shot. Edvin Bruhn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christijan van Asseldonk's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Albertus FC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Ronnys Lärjungar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ted Kamps took the corner. Albertus FC's Ted Kamps was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edvin Bruhn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Albertus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ted Kamps in the 70th minute. When Christijan van Asseldonk fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albertus FC's protests and gave Christijan van Asseldonk a yellow card for diving instead.
