The Northmen Army's Emil Hafström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Cerqueira in the 33rd minute of play. Patrício Poças blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emil Hafström having to make a save. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when The Northmen Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Mjølner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Vilhelm Mjølner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raimundo Delgado. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vilhelm Mjølner made a kick off. Stig Lindqvist struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Raimundo Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Northmen Army. Kent Sandström replaced Pål Wiklund. Jack Lundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Raimundo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Igelström during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
