The audience thought a goal was coming when August Skålberg got free with Raimundo Delgado in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raimundo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Berglund in the 28th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Sundborn IF got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Hellström. Fritz Lindqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Cerqueira was the one to do the kick off. Sundborn IF's Fritz Lindqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Lobo in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, one of Garanhão do SUL:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
