An unexpectedly hard shot by Osman Čiček in the 10th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osman Čiček took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastián Sosa. Sebastián Sosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osman Čiček in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Hispania's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Cantona came free, but Arif Memduh Akova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes Hispania's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marek Torm who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hispania's goalie and right to Marco Cantona. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hispania's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 21 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Qian Peng came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastián Sosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Pedriza, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Kubala in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, Hispania's Arif Memduh Akova got control of the ball when Marek Torm tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marek Torm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Arif Memduh Akova made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Marek Torm got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arif Memduh Akova quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hispania's goalkeeper Arif Memduh Akova, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osman Čiček in the 42nd minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Jaraba kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes, Vikingos FC's Marek Torm shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arif Memduh Akova came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vikingos FC reached it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Vikingos FC's Marco Cantona got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Kubala in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Filip Kubala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vikingos FC made a substitution. Ladislao Erramu replaced Marco Cantona. After 77 played minutes Hispania got a freekick which was hit by José Jaraba. Vikingos FC's Per-Olof Vallmark was substituted for Cássio Lopes. Vikingos FC's Luciano Lleir was substituted for Roque Vito. After a defensive mix-up in Hispania's zone, Per-Olof Vallmark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arif Memduh Akova came out of the goal and Per-Olof Vallmark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Filip Kubala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastián Sosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastián Sosa was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Filip Kubala capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filip Kubala really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. 89 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Kubala came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vikingos FC's Lucrețiu Filipașcu got a free kick in the 90th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Filip Kubala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hispania's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Kubala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastián Sosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neither Vikingos FC or Hispania succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

100 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Pedriza came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Filip Kubala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastián Sosa was relentless in the 102nd minute of the game. Marek Torm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 103rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Memduh Akova having to interfere. If Eriberto Pedriza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 104th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 105th match minute, Hispania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Jaraba to maneuver through the defense. Both sets of players were looking tired when the whistle went to end the half. Everyone was pleased to get a few minutes to rest before extra-time resumed.

Both teams seemed ready to fight when Vikingos FC's Marek Torm did the kick off and started the second half in the overtime. Arif Memduh Akova took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Torm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filip Kubala in the 121st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastián Sosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastián Sosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Kubala in the 129th minute of the match. Neither team seemed willing to take risks during extra-time and the defenses won out. The match would now go to a penalty shoot-out.

Arif Memduh Akova had in the 133rdth minute some difficulties stopping Filip Kubala's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Filip Kubala did a trick in the 133rd minute in front of Vikingos FC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-3. An impressive performance by Hispania's Filip Kubala! Arif Memduh Akova had in the 137thth minute some difficulties stopping Per-Olof Vallmark's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Arif Memduh Akova had in the 141stth minute some difficulties stopping Lei Qian Peng's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 143rd minute there was a penalty for Vikingos FC. Tarmo Kaare stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arif Memduh Akova. 4-4. Luciano Lleir's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Arif Memduh Akova - 5-4 was put on the score board in the 146th minute.
