Academia FC's Walery Balkiewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Academia FC from getting a goal against them. Walery Balkiewicz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Isaias Jakue showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Yao Yan Sen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walery Balkiewicz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sporting Buceo's Juan Sartori got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Elmo Jaanovits made a precise shot to the right of Maximo Horquizar. Sporting Buceo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Yao Yan Sen struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Walery Balkiewicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Buceo. Elmo Jaanovits sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maximo Horquizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elmo Jaanovits in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Elmo Jaanovits made a precise shot to the right of Maximo Horquizar. Sporting Buceo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After the first half Academia FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Elmo Jaanovits made the kick off in the second half. Sporting Buceo's attentive Yao Yan Sen managed to snatch the ball when Simon Esquipula made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. Academia FC's Tancredo Hondaro was substituted for Elmo Jaanovits. After 57 played minutes Academia FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Iraitz. Sporting Buceo's Sebastian Muc was substituted for Filimon Gamburtsev. Juan Sartori kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Tancredo Hondaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximo Horquizar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Walery Balkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Rengifo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergio Rengifo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walery Balkiewicz. Walery Balkiewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. A sloppy throw-in by Tancredo Hondaro in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sporting Buceo's Bordat Vidania.

The Sporting Buceo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Academia FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Academia FC.
