In the 19thth minute of the game Fulvio Vittorio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pavlos Konstantakakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulvio Vittorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gianluca Balla got free with Olle Casillas in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Hamburg Fighters's Gianluca Balla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Olle Casillas. That made the score 1-1 after 24 minutes of play. In the 28th minute Dinu Bocu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olle Casillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of La France FC booed when Hamburg Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandros Hölsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Fulvio Vittorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La France FC's Edgard Davids was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
