Sugih Linggawarman started the match with the kick off. SIMvergüenzas's Beto Rodríguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 4th minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, SIMvergüenzas's goal looked a bit too open when Ömer Halisdemir came free, but Beto Rodríguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute Zawisza Bydgoszcz were awarded a corner. Sixten Gernberg went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sixten Gernberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Beto Rodríguez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 7th minute of play forced SIMvergüenzas's goalkeeper Beto Rodríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ömer Halisdemir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beto Rodríguez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Sebastian Klawke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beto Rodríguez. SIMvergüenzas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Klawke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Beto Rodríguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Halisdemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind SIMvergüenzas's goalkeeper Beto Rodríguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of SIMvergüenzas booed when Zawisza Bydgoszcz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Klawke didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sugih Linggawarman in the 31st minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Kajetan Dec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ömer Halisdemir might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beto Rodríguez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ömer Halisdemir ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, SIMvergüenzas's goal looked a bit too open when Ömer Halisdemir came free, but Beto Rodríguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kajetan Dec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sugih Linggawarman in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Zawisza Bydgoszcz getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Lucjan Bochinski hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ömer Halisdemir to make the kick off. Karl-Åke Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Zawisza Bydgoszcz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Salomone to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Antonello Salomone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sugih Linggawarman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kajetan Dec came out and tried to block the shot, but Sugih Linggawarman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Orestas Ancikas got a free kick in the 70th minute. The supporters of SIMvergüenzas booed when Zawisza Bydgoszcz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orestas Ancikas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xacobo Harroyo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Kajetan Dec made a huge save. If Xacobo Harroyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kajetan Dec showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nechifor Bitănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Kajetan Dec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xacobo Harroyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Severino Encina fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SIMvergüenzas's protests and gave Severino Encina a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SIMvergüenzas getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Severino Encina hit a great ball. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Răzvan Brădean was substituted for Ömer Halisdemir. After a rather tough play, SIMvergüenzas's Severino Encina got a free kick in the 89th minute. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Xacobo Harroyo took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Kajetan Dec to make any attempt to save it.

The SIMvergüenzas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SIMvergüenzas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
