İrfan Attar started the match with the kick off. Andrew Tate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Sandu Vlaicu made a huge save. İrfan Attar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Johan Lööf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johan Lööf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İrfan Attar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 17th minute of the match FC Urzicuța got a corner. La Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristi Chivu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Cristi Chivu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but La Boys's Johan Lööf did a great save. In the 21st minute İrfan Attar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Lööf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match FC Urzicuța got a corner. La Boys's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johan Lööf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İrfan Attar, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the game, İrfan Attar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Johan Lööf was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to La Boys getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Bernt Hedling hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Giacomo Casanova made a precise shot to the right of Sandu Vlaicu. FC Urzicuța's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 37th minute of the match Lisandro Taurino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johan Lööf skillfully saved the ball. When FC Urzicuța's Aurel Beldeanu in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Boys's goalie prevented a goal. İrfan Attar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johan Lööf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. FC Urzicuța's Sandu Vlaicu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save FC Urzicuța from getting a goal against them.

La Boys's Johan Lööf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İrfan Attar in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by La Boys's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristi Chivu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Urzicuța's players had a chance to rest. FC Urzicuța were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after La Boys's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristi Chivu took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İrfan Attar in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johan Lööf saved La Boys from getting behind. In the 59th minute Giacomo Casanova shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandu Vlaicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurel Beldeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Johan Lööf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, La Boys's goalkeeper Johan Lööf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurel Beldeanu. With a little luck, La Boys's Johan Lööf got control of the ball when Aurel Beldeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bernt Hedling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, FC Urzicuța's goal looked a bit too open when Giacomo Casanova came free, but Sandu Vlaicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johan Lööf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İrfan Attar, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Giacomo Casanova cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Sandu Vlaicu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FC Urzicuța getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Apolo Mingo hit a great ball. Sandu Vlaicu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giacomo Casanova in the 82nd minute of play. Sandu Vlaicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarl Bröms, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute of the match, Aurel Beldeanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Johan Lööf was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Stig-Arne Hake got a throw-in 88 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Giacomo Casanova. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sorin Bârlă in the 89th minute of play forced La Boys's goalkeeper Johan Lööf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kulabhusana Karabashlykov came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the FC Urzicuța fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kulabhusana Karabashlykov couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd match minute, La Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfred Lindgren to maneuver through the defense. Cristi Chivu struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Johan Lööf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Urzicuța. Neither La Boys or FC Urzicuța succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. FC Urzicuța's Sorin Bârlă started the play with his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Beldeanu in the 107th minute of play forced La Boys's goalkeeper Johan Lööf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torbjörn Göransson's late challenge caught a FC Urzicuța's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torbjörn Göransson helped the player get up and apologised. Torbjörn Göransson hit a great freekick 111 minutes into the match. The La Boys manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC Urzicuța to win.
