After 7 minutes Flamengo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sarracino De la Rosa who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kasper Bivall in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sixten Tunander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sixten Tunander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kasper Bivall's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Kasper Bivall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafail Klenov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but August Hjortberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. If Ozan Heybetli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. August Hjortberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ozan Heybetli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasper Bivall in the 20th minute of play forced FC Hammarby Sjöstad's goalkeeper Sixten Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ozan Heybetli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without August Hjortberg having to make a save. With a little luck, Flamengo's August Hjortberg got control of the ball when Ozan Heybetli tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Kasper Bivall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sixten Tunander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kasper Bivall in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Ciriaco Terciero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 35th minute of the game was made by Peter Östensson with Kasper Bivall as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Hammarby Sjöstad's goalkeeper Sixten Tunander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Flamengo were awarded a corner. Stig-Arne Ekerot went to the cornerflag to take it. Ozan Heybetli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. August Hjortberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Ozan Heybetli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kasper Bivall to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Stig-Arne Ekerot almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Sixten Tunander did a great save. Flamengo made a substitution. Fredric Zander replaced Edwardt Balmett. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Flamengo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sarracino De la Rosa was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Hammarby Sjöstad's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gustav Sigfridsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flamengo's August Hjortberg did a great save. August Hjortberg came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Ozan Heybetli. But to his dismay, Ozan Heybetli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ozan Heybetli in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Hjortberg saved Flamengo from getting behind. Ozan Heybetli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but August Hjortberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After some careless play in the Flamengo defense, Ozan Heybetli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of August Hjortberg. The Flamengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Hjortberg should have stopped the shot. Flamengo made a substitution. Elliott Gustafsson replaced Basílio Ornelas. Flamengo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
