An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasper Bivall in the 20th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Flamengo's August Hjortberg got control of the ball when Julien Staffelbach tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flamengo's goalkeeper August Hjortberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. August Hjortberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvid Carlsson in the 37th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Kasper Bivall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimmy Olsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. August Hjortberg came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach. But to his dismay, Julien Staffelbach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

56 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Staffelbach came free, but August Hjortberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kasper Bivall in the 57th minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Espiridion kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 64th minute Kasper Bivall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flamengo made a substitution. The audience was convinced that Kasper Bivall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmy Olsson was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Kasper Bivall struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jimmy Olsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo. Greger Strömbom hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. August Hjortberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marbjörn Garpsson in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kasper Bivall. In the 87th minute, Ahmet Orhan Kazakhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasper Bivall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kasper Bivall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jimmy Olsson having to make a save. In the 93rd minute, Kasper Bivall reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jimmy Olsson. The goal made the score 2-2. Flamengo succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Linköpings AIK had controlled the match.
