Dorel Lupșe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Besiktas booed when Sadikköy Erdoğan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orbay Sadir didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdi Mehmet Kayaer kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Sadikköy Erdoğan FK got a freekick which was hit by Abdi Mehmet Kayaer. Ertunç Mücahit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Dorel Lupșe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Korkutalp Onkal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Bokelund in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Besiktas's goalkeeper Dorel Lupșe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Besiktas defense, Ertunç Mücahit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dorel Lupșe. The Besiktas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorel Lupșe should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Forssberg in the 36th minute of play forced Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's goalkeeper Korkutalp Onkal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorel Lupșe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melih Şahan in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ertunç Mücahit in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorel Lupșe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ertunç Mücahit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorel Lupșe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melih Şahan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Bedri Sungun's late challenge caught a Besiktas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehmet Bedri Sungun helped the player get up and apologised. Mehmet Bedri Sungun kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's Peyami Özarkın was substituted for Mehmet Bedri Sungun. After a rather tough play, Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's Mehmet Bedri Sungun got a free kick in the 49th minute. After the first half Sadikköy Erdoğan FK were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Besiktas's Dorel Lupșe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melih Şahan in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Mark Forssberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korkutalp Onkal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ismael Belmiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Korkutalp Onkal was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's Korkutalp Onkal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucjan Golaszewski in the 69th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Mark Forssberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Korkutalp Onkal. Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mark Forssberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Ertunç Mücahit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dorel Lupșe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Kadir Suerdem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Besiktas getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Bo-Erik Tomasson hit a great ball. After 86 played minutes, Sadikköy Erdoğan FK's Bilal Aynacıoğlu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dorel Lupșe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sadikköy Erdoğan FK reached it. Dorel Lupșe made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Ertunç Mücahit sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ertunç Mücahit in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorel Lupșe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 89 played minutes Besiktas got a freekick which was hit by Magnus Kihlman. Korkutalp Onkal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig Bokelund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ertunç Mücahit came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dorel Lupșe could save by the left post. In the 96th match minute, Besiktas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucjan Golaszewski to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Besiktas players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
