When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-1 when He Shu Xun sped through NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 俞锋烽. When Cavalerii Viola's He Shu Xun in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalie prevented a goal. 28 minutes into the match, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goal looked a bit too open when Iván Győrfi came free, but 俞锋烽 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that He Shu Xun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 俞锋烽 was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 34thth minute of the game He Shu Xun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's 俞锋烽 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 俞锋烽 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iván Győrfi in the 36th minute of the match. Hermengildo Cordeara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mugurel Puișoru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Iván Győrfi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Moises Atarrabi got a free kick in the 41st minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Iker Galo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavalerii Viola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Galo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iván Győrfi in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 俞锋烽 saved NEWELL´S OLD BOYS from getting behind. With his leg Mugurel Puișoru managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Leo Lore fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell He Shu Xun to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Aurelio Salbatore got a free kick in the 51st minute. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's 俞锋烽 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by He Shu Xun in the 52nd minute of play. Mugurel Puișoru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Cordeara in the 54th minute of play. 俞锋烽 came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Cavalerii Viola's Iván Győrfi. But to his dismay, Iván Győrfi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when He Shu Xun got free with 俞锋烽 in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg 俞锋烽 managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Cavalerii Viola's He Shu Xun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 70 in the game by He Shu Xun from a close distance when the talented 俞锋烽 managed to make a qualified save. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's players were relieved. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cavalerii Viola:s goal. Hermengildo Cordeara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mugurel Puișoru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Lore in the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Iván Győrfi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavalerii Viola's supporters rose to their feet, but Iván Győrfi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 俞锋烽 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cavalerii Viola's Iker Galo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for NEWELL´S OLD BOYS. When Ive Kindermans came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Cavalerii Viola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ive Kindermans couldn't finish the play.
