The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Constantin Bot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorino Diaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zeledon Manni during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Ψ virgen Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Manni to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goalkeeper Matei Răducu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Diaz. Matei Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Teobald Karanewski sped through Ψ virgen Ψ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antonio Sengrat. In the 17th minute, Aggelos Troglis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matei Răducu. The goal made the score 1-1. Alin Nichitelea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Antonio Sengrat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Teobald Karanewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Sengrat was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Ψ virgen Ψ's Antonio Sengrat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Nichitelea in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Carpathians booed when Ψ virgen Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Manni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carpathians made a substitution. Laurențiu Iurea replaced Pär Öman. After a rather tough play, Ψ virgen Ψ's Zeledon Manni got a free kick in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teobald Karanewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 65 minutes into the match, Ψ virgen Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Teobald Karanewski came free, but Antonio Sengrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Sengrat was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alin Nichitelea. 68 minutes into the match, Ψ virgen Ψ's goalkeeper Antonio Sengrat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leontin Ţurcaş. In the 70th match minute, Ψ virgen Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Ixaka to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Alvaro Ixaka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Sengrat was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alin Nichitelea. After having played for 74 minutes, Leontin Ţurcaş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpathians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leontin Ţurcaş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute Cazimir Feteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Sengrat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Dobay in the 79th minute of play forced Ψ virgen Ψ's goalkeeper Antonio Sengrat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute of the match, Leontin Ţurcaş got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antonio Sengrat was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 82nd match minute, Ψ virgen Ψ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Manni to maneuver through the defense. Ψ virgen Ψ's Antonio Sengrat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Dobay in the 83rd minute of play. Antonio Sengrat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Dobay, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Antonio Sengrat was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leontin Ţurcaş showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 92 minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Ψ virgen Ψ's goalkeeper Antonio Sengrat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cazimir Feteanu. Cazimir Feteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Antonio Sengrat made a huge save. Carpathians's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
