The Belo Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Enrique Bologna came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Belo Academy's Manfredo Travassos. But to his dismay, Manfredo Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 13th minute, Isaltino Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, NANO FC's Zeledon Niguel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Eduardo Mazza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belo Academy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Norberto Matei was slow to take the kick. During this time NANO FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Norberto Matei got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luís Eduardo Mazza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Manfredo Travassos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrique Bologna having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Manfredo Travassos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Bologna was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Enrique Bologna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manfredo Travassos's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. If Luizão Dinamite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
