When Bernardinho Leão came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Belo Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Leão couldn't finish the play. Água Santa's Fernandez Gøl got control of the ball when Manfredo Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The E.C. Água Santa supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Belo Academy's performance. The match ended with a win for Belo Academy.
