After having played for 5 minutes, Edwin Grabert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Savage Hippo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edwin Grabert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Edwin Grabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Edwin Grabert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leopoldo Ospin. Edwin Grabert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Bengt-Arne Askstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Aimar, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Edwin Grabert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Deuce Athletic Club's Leonardo Chico got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edwin Grabert got free with Leopoldo Ospin in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Deuce Athletic Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Edwin Grabert scored to the left of an out of position Leopoldo Ospin, making the score, 3-0. 23 minutes into the match, Edwin Grabert dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leopoldo Ospin, 4-0. The supporters of Savage Hippo booed when Deuce Athletic Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bondo Levidze didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Edwin Grabert could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Leopoldo Ospin however easily saved by the left post. Eddie Bjurström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Aimar in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Arne Askstedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 41st minute of the match Fermin Ralondo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt skillfully saved the ball. In the 44th match minute, Savage Hippo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Tomaszewski to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edwin Grabert made a kick off. Owen Tomaszewski charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Owen Tomaszewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Savage Hippo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fermin Ralondo was slow to take the kick. During this time Deuce Athletic Club's players had a chance to rest. 57 minutes into the match, Deuce Athletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Grabert came free, but Leopoldo Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vakaris Daujotas hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Federico Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Arne Askstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Savage Hippo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vakaris Daujotas to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Ospin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Grabert, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute.
