Itajaí Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gianluca Lapadula was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 16 minutes, Marian Mondrowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Bukowe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Mondrowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andreas Piovezan made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Raí Rossi. A collision led to KS Bukowe getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jan Zgonina hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes Itajaí Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Raí Rossi. In the 42nd match minute, Itajaí Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Andreas Piovezan made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Raí Rossi immediately put the ball in play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcelinho de Salles to make the kick off. Gianluca Lapadula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Itajaí Football Club's Carlos Eduardo da Costa was substituted for Marcelinho de Salles. Marcelo Galvão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianluca Lapadula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th match minute, KS Bukowe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wieslaw Czajka to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of KS Bukowe booed when Itajaí Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerzy Dudek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
