In the 2nd minute, Laureano Mitxaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hans-Martin Istad sped through Deportivo Diamante U18's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gregorio Fagildo. 9 minutes into the match, Deportivo Diamante U18's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Teofilio came free, but Gregorio Fagildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Masters United F.C.'s Enrique Bologna got control of the ball when Diego Milito tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute Hans-Martin Istad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Fagildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrique Bologna was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Diego Milito capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diego Milito really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 21st match minute, Deportivo Diamante U18 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Montel to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Bologna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Maiorga in the 27th minute of play. Enrique Bologna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Milito's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 35th match minute, Masters United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yu Yi to maneuver through the defense. In the 37thth minute of the game Diego Milito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Masters United F.C.'s Enrique Bologna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Masters United F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lino Igon was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Diamante U18's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Mitxaut got free with Enrique Bologna in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregorio Fagildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Martin Istad in the 46th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Deportivo Diamante U18:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Masters United F.C.:s goal. Gregorio Fagildo went to the wrong direction when Anselmo Ted was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After the first half Masters United F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 54th minute of the match, Florencio Rafe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gregorio Fagildo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Santiago Eufrasio charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Eufrasio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Masters United F.C. booed when Deportivo Diamante U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santiago Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Hans-Martin Istad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Fagildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Herminio Frantzes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gregorio Fagildo. That made the score 1-3 in the 63 minute of play. Saverio Teofilio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Gregorio Fagildo made a huge save. In the 71st minute Hans-Martin Istad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Fagildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florencio Rafe came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gregorio Fagildo could save by the left post. Enrique Bologna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Mitxaut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enrique Bologna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Maiorga in the 82nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Diamante U18's Romeo Chepe got a free kick in the 84th minute. Anselmo Ted's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Fagildo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Gregorio Fagildo made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Saverio Teofilio sent off a good shot on target. Florencio Rafe came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gregorio Fagildo could save by the left post. Gregorio Fagildo was a little too slow when Saverio Teofilio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 93rd minute. The score was now 1-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Masters United F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
