Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Åke Utter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Claudio Quiroga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Utter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tim Nordlund during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tim Nordlund hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC NILS getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gustaf Tunberg hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Merry Christmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaf Tunberg made in the 39th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bill Fitzpatrick. FC NILS's Åke Utter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save FC NILS from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the match, FC NILS's goalkeeper Åke Utter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Quiroga. Bill Fitzpatrick took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Apostol Sokolov. Apostol Sokolov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Quiroga made a kick off. When Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC NILS's goalie prevented a goal. 54 minutes into the game, Carlos Galván threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC NILS's Ferdi Kadıoğlu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Apostol Sokolov made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Bill Fitzpatrick sent off a good shot on target. Monitor Huáscar's Bernardinho Bala was substituted for Artemio Varas. After 60 minutes FC NILS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Modestio Cañucal who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Monitor Huáscar's Paulo Fallabes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Åke Utter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudio Quiroga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Åke Utter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Claudio Quiroga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monitor Huáscar's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Quiroga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Åke Utter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Paulo Fallabes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Apostol Sokolov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bill Fitzpatrick in the 78th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Bill Fitzpatrick recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Apostol Sokolov. Bill Fitzpatrick showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. FC NILS made a substitution. Darin Bozduganov replaced Bill Fitzpatrick. After 85 minutes, Gustaf Tunberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC NILS and the Monitor Huáscar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Gustaf Tunberg. A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Kenny Isaksson with Darin Bozduganov as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Åke Utter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Fallabes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modestio Cañucal in the 92nd minute of play forced FC NILS's goalkeeper Åke Utter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Claudio Quiroga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Åke Utter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Although Monitor Huáscar had been in control for most of the match, FC NILS still came away with the win.
