The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Lugo in the 9th minute of play forced Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalkeeper Ritchie Stansfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th match minute, Real Ayuntamiento CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Cucao to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match, Isidoro Lugo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ritchie Stansfield saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Celtic FC's Isidoro Lugo in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sebastián Junes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Cucao, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isidoro Lugo to strike the kick off in the second half. Ritchie Stansfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Abaunza in the 54th minute of the match. Sebastián Junes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Cucao in the 61st minute. With a left leg Ritchie Stansfield saved Real Ayuntamiento CF from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damazy Tomaszewski came free, but Sebastián Junes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the game, Celtic FC's Nicolas Froila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ritchie Stansfield made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 83 minutes into the match, Celtic FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Junes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Cucao. Ritchie Stansfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Froila, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Sebastián Junes made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Pedro Cucao sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 89 minutes, Bernd Goorts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celtic FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernd Goorts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
