The Pajala Sunrise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cholachat Coolcat should have stopped the shot. Cholachat Coolcat came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by all players for sale's Claudio Valcareggi. But to his dismay, Claudio Valcareggi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Börje Axelsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrico Albertosi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Pajala Sunrise's Cholachat Coolcat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Valcareggi in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Pajala Sunrise's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Valcareggi came free, but Cholachat Coolcat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Franco Nero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domenico De Rubeis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Domenico De Rubeis managed to get in a good position for a shot. all players for sale's supporters rose to their feet, but Domenico De Rubeis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cholachat Coolcat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Domenico De Rubeis made a precise shot to the right of Cholachat Coolcat. Pajala Sunrise's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Pajala Sunrise's Johannes Friberger got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, all players for sale's Cholachat Coolcat threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Clarismundo Marchisio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 94th minute, Johannes Friberger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrico Albertosi was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pajala Sunrise had won after a very even match.
