The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lu Hong Qiang had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Froilan Iaki's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 14th minute, Damaso Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lu Hong Qiang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Franz Beckenbauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Máté Márton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Islam Slimani in the 20th minute of play. Mauro were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Congo Bongo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Barnaba Falke took the corner. Damaso Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Mauro's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Sancho came free, but Lu Hong Qiang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Sancho in the 32nd minute of play forced Mauro's goalkeeper Lu Hong Qiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lu Hong Qiang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lu Hong Qiang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damaso Sancho went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 44th match minute, Mauro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wawrzyniec Bara to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Mauro's Wawrzyniec Bara got a free kick in the 46th minute. Lu Hong Qiang was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Damaso Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Damaso Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Islam Slimani made the kick off in the second half. Congo Bongo's Máté Márton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Congo Bongo from getting a goal against them. Arnaldo Oidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mauro's goalkeeper Lu Hong Qiang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lu Hong Qiang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Oidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Congo Bongo were awarded a corner. Froilan Iaki went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 97thth minute of the game Arnaldo Oidor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mauro's Lu Hong Qiang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Congo Bongo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
