In the 51st minute, TIGER's Dario Mero seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dario Mero the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of TIGER protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dario Mero had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of TIGER:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chivos de Punto Fijo:s goal. TIGER's Dida Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Cerra in the 58th minute of play. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Dani Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Blom in the 59th minute of play. Nilmar Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Dida Vasconcelos made a huge save. When Christoph Hambloch came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the TIGER fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoph Hambloch couldn't finish the play. Dida Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Cerra in the 90th minute of the match. Juan Torrent succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 91st playminute. 96 minutes into the game, Gaston Botinos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dida Vasconcelos. Gaston Botinos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Chivos de Punto Fijo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
