Cristoforo De Tommasi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benjamin Mazza came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristoforo De Tommasi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbson Messias in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Mian saved Herberia Herons from getting behind. Diego Mian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristoforo De Tommasi got free with Benjamin Mazza in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giuseppe Basso struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Benjamin Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herberia Herons. Cristoforo De Tommasi took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Mazza. Benjamin Mazza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Corrado Puglielli hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Benjamin Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristoforo De Tommasi went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute Cristoforo De Tommasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tales de Carvalho during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benjamin Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rockets's Benjamin Mazza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Rockets from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Róbson Messias to make the kick off. Gilvan Chaves hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Armando Marchesani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herberia Herons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Marchesani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Corvo in the 58th minute of play forced Rockets's goalkeeper Benjamin Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rockets's Benjamin Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Marchesani in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Herberia Herons were awarded a corner. Armando Marchesani went to the cornerflag to take it. Abelardo Rocha hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Giuseppe Basso took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benjamin Mazza. Benjamin Mazza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After some careless play in the Rockets defense, Eugenio Ruggieri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Mazza. The Rockets fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Mazza should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Armando Marchesani had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Mazza. Rockets's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Marchesani was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After a rather tough play, Herberia Herons's Eugenio Gallo got a free kick in the 90th minute. Diego Mian was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tales de Carvalho. After 92 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Gol. Benjamin Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Herberia Herons had played much better football throughout.
