In the 17th match minute, ZorlaGeldik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fuat Onursoy to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Ruas in the 18th minute of play forced ZorlaGeldik's goalkeeper Kazım Kuthan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, ZorlaGeldik's goal looked a bit too open when Fu Han Qiang came free, but Kazım Kuthan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kazım Kuthan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fu Han Qiang's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hilmi Koytan got free with Jon Oblak in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 36 minutes, Öztürk Baycan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZorlaGeldik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Öztürk Baycan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute of the match Andarilhos got a corner. ZorlaGeldik's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Ruas ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Andarilhos's corner Jorge Ruas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kazım Kuthan quite easily take care of the ball. Fu Han Qiang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Kazım Kuthan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Antony Bruno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kazım Kuthan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mustafa Namık Adak to make the kick off. Andarilhos's Jarbas Pinheiro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Yılmaz Haksever in the 51 minute of the game. Andarilhos's Jon Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilmi Koytan in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Alemdar Usare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jon Oblak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Öztürk Baycan in the 56th minute of the match.
