Edwin Van den Bossche came free with the goalkeeper in the 5th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Prodromos Britzolidis could save by the left post. 6 minutes into the match, Hornbosteler SV's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Teles came free, but Fredo Rösch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Överman hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Oriano Junco put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Prodromos Britzolidis. Stig-Åke Alkvist took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fredo Rösch. Fredo Rösch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Hornbosteler SV booed when Salem Gunners BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Qvalfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salem Gunners BK's Prodromos Britzolidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Salem Gunners BK from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Salem Gunners BK's Johannes Skräddare got a free kick in the 36th minute. Hornbosteler SV's Fredo Rösch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Gustafsson in the 38th minute of play. Philipp Darmstadt's late challenge caught a Salem Gunners BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philipp Darmstadt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Philipp Darmstadt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Cícero Teles made the kick off in the second half. Friedemann Hettlich hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes, Emil Uggla mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salem Gunners BK and the Hornbosteler SV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Salem Gunners BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Uggla to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philipp Darmstadt in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Prodromos Britzolidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils Smitt hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Johannes Skräddare's late challenge caught a Hornbosteler SV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Skräddare helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Salem Gunners BK's Johannes Skräddare got a free kick in the 61st minute. With a little luck, Hornbosteler SV's Fredo Rösch got control of the ball when Cícero Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Hornbosteler SV's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Teles came free, but Fredo Rösch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Cícero Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredo Rösch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Teles in the 74th minute of play forced Hornbosteler SV's goalkeeper Fredo Rösch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Otto Reymann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Salem Gunners BK's zone, Philipp Darmstadt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prodromos Britzolidis came out of the goal and Philipp Darmstadt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philipp Darmstadt got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Philipp Darmstadt hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute of the match, Cícero Teles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fredo Rösch saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Salem Gunners BK fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Salem Gunners BK's Cícero Teles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edwin Van den Bossche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prodromos Britzolidis having to interfere. The Salem Gunners BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Salem Gunners BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
