The audience was convinced that Fathi Yu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matías Teixeira was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Fathi Yu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edelmiro Lucero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Vítor Campidelis during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Vítor Campidelis hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Fathi Yu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 minutes, Fathi Yu made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. AC Metropol's Matías Teixeira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the match, AC Metropol's goal looked a bit too open when Fathi Yu came free, but Matías Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stamen Šiškov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Matías Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute Fathi Yu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matías Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fathi Yu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Matías Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Vítor Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Matías Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Blasi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Metropol's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wouter Lemmens was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Bull Club's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Wouter Lemmens got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Matías Teixeira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charles Zonta to strike the kick off in the second half. Matías Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamen Šiškov, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. AC Metropol's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Fathi Yu scored to the left of an out of position Matías Teixeira, making the score, 0-7. Stamen Šiškov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Teixeira having to interfere. Matías Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Lucero in the 59th minute of the match. Fathi Yu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Matías Teixeira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Red Bull Club were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after AC Metropol's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wouter Lemmens took the corner. Red Bull Club's Wouter Lemmens was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matías Teixeira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Matías Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamen Šiškov, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in AC Metropol's zone, Fathi Yu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matías Teixeira came out of the goal and Fathi Yu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Fathi Yu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Bull Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Fathi Yu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matías Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stamen Šiškov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Matías Teixeira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Red Bull Club played a much better game than AC Metropol and deserved their victory. The AC Metropol players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
