After the first half Arrecifes were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Felipe Senon took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Januário Rangel to make any attempt to save it. MEXACOMX's Januário Rangel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save MEXACOMX from getting a goal against them. 90 minutes into the game, Arrecifes's Felipe Senon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Januário Rangel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Felipe Senon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Januário Rangel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The MEXACOMX supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arrecifes's performance. The match ended with a win for Arrecifes.
