The audience was convinced that Arthur Guedes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Sotil was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 51st minute, Arthur Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Virgilio Sotil. Villa Mitre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 54 minutes into the game, Arthur Guedes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Virgilio Sotil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute Arthur Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Sotil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, one of Villa Mitre:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Virgilio Sotil came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Arthur Guedes. But to his dismay, Arthur Guedes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Arthur Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Virgilio Sotil made a huge save. The supporters of ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ booed when Villa Mitre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Frutos didn't get a good kick on the ball. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
