Thomás Proença dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 38 minutes into the match, Black horses's Jakub Swierczok sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomás Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thomás Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Sauveur in the 40th minute of play. Jakub Swierczok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Thomás Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Tomé Sá made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Manuel Catarinense immediately put the ball in play. Maricá FC's Thomás Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Maricá FC from getting a goal against them. Thomás Proença made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cipriano Sauveur in the 56th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Black horses's Jakub Swierczok slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Thomás Proença. That made the score 0-4 after 57 minutes of play. When Cipriano Sauveur came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Black horses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Sauveur couldn't finish the play. Black horses's Atso Joenväärä was substituted for Jakub Swierczok. In the 67th minute, Cipriano Sauveur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black horses fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Black horses played a much better game than Maricá FC and deserved their victory. The Maricá FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
