After 3 minutes of play, Clason's Baltasar Uxio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Lomba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clason were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Esporte Club Bahia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victorino Claris took the corner. The corner ended in Victorino Claris almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba did a great save. Marcelo Lomba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Txema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Clason booed when Esporte Club Bahia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Uxio in the 12th minute of play. If Baltasar Uxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Lomba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Txema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Uxio in the 19th minute of play forced Esporte Club Bahia's goalkeeper Marcelo Lomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Baltasar Uxio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marcelo Lomba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Uxio in the 22nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Baltasar Uxio made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Lomba. Esporte Club Bahia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Marcelo Lomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Uxio in the 38th minute of play. Baltasar Uxio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baltasar Uxio was the one to do the kick off. Tiago Xavier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Tallia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Luís Eduardo Salles hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Gustavo Paes in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Tallia saved Clason from getting behind. After 64 minutes Clason's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tiago Xavier who took care of the corner kick. 66 minutes into the game, Esporte Club Bahia's Luiz Gustavo Paes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Tallia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Tiago Xavier hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Marcelo Lomba came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Clason's Baltasar Uxio. But to his dismay, Baltasar Uxio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Siro Txema kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Luiz Gustavo Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Tallia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Salles in the 82nd minute of play. Esporte Club Bahia were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Clason's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiago Xavier took the corner. The corner ended in Tiago Xavier almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clason's Gabriel Tallia did a great save. 85 minutes into the match, Esporte Club Bahia's Tiago Xavier broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Luiz Gustavo Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siro Txema fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Lomba having to interfere.
