When Joseph Neels came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Bruly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joseph Neels couldn't finish the play. Jeronimo Ekaitz charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeronimo Ekaitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Chelforó's Jeronimo Ekaitz got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Chelforó's Mario Abaurre seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mario Abaurre the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chelforó protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mario Abaurre had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chelforó fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! In the 35thth minute of the game Joseph Neels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelforó's Rene Gonza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Neels in the 36th minute of play forced Chelforó's goalkeeper Rene Gonza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Gonza came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Bruly's Joseph Neels. But to his dismay, Joseph Neels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 44 minutes into the game, Joseph Neels cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Rene Gonza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 47 minutes, Joseph Neels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruly's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Neels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joseph Neels to make the kick off. Rene Gonza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joseph Neels in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Bruly's Robben Musseeuw got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The Chelforó fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Gonza should have stopped the shot. Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Gonza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. If Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rene Gonza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thys Mangelschot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 72 minute of play. Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeecks short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Rene Gonza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rodd Didlick kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Gonza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Bruly's Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck in the 85th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rene Gonza was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Chelforó through an amazing save. Luckas Cromefeldt hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Brend Schrevens made a precise shot to the right of Rene Gonza. Chelforó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. 98 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chelforó's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brend Schrevens was slow to take the kick. During this time Bruly's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When the match was over Bruly could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Chelforó throughout the match.
