In the 7th minute, YR Mechelen's Andries Mangelschot ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ture Viklund. Ture Viklund yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Ture Viklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andries Mangelschot. André Botvidsson made in the 17th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ralf Nyberg immediately put the ball in play. Andries Van Mechelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Eron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andries Van Mechelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Eron in the 35th minute of the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Maximiliano Eron who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel Van Mechelen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ture Viklund came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Van Mechelen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Van Mechelen made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Andries Mangelschot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YR Mechelen and the Polar Ice Caps players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andries Mangelschot kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Ture Viklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Van Mechelen in the 54th minute of the match. Miguel Van Mechelen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ture Viklund having to make a save. In the 60th minute Miguel Van Mechelen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ture Viklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Van Mechelen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Leo Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Van Mechelen to maneuver through the defense. Andries Van Mechelen was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Maximiliano Eron capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maximiliano Eron really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. YR Mechelen's Miguel Van Mechelen got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 minutes of play, YR Mechelen's Andries Mangelschot made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ture Viklund was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 78 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Jamie Van Mechelen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Nyberg in the 79th minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Andries Van Mechelen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Van Mechelen to maneuver through the defense. Andries Van Mechelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Eron in the 81st minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Eron came free, but Andries Van Mechelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximiliano Eron kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Ture Viklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries Mangelschot, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. YR Mechelen had played much better football throughout.
