The audience was convinced that Sebastian Kazczyk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brendan Hammons was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 13th minute Sebastian Kazczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Hammons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Sebastian Kazczyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alisson Becker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Delacruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 23 minutes, Sebastian Kazczyk made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Quebec city FC's Brendan Hammons tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Real Juniors's Claudio Cabrera got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute, Sebastian Kazczyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Sebastian Kazczyk notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Quebec city FC's Brendan Hammons. Brendan Hammons was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastian Kazczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brendan Hammons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Kazczyk in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Javi Pinola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Quebec city FC's zone, Roland Redondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendan Hammons came out of the goal and Roland Redondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Sebastian Kazczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Hammons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Real Juniors getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Enzo Fernandes hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Enzo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Real Juniors were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Kazczyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Sebastian Kazczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brendan Hammons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Kazczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Sebastian Kazczyk rounded Quebec city FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. Real Juniors's Ahmet Efe Suheyl was substituted for Sebastian Kazczyk. 62 minutes into the match, Quebec city FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Redondo came free, but Brendan Hammons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brendan Hammons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Fernandes in the 69th minute of play. Harvey Rivard hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute of the match Jerry Dhanabalan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brendan Hammons showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Quebec city FC's Brendan Hammons got control of the ball when Ahmet Efe Suheyl tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quebec city FC's Brendan Hammons proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Quebec city FC from getting a goal against them. Brendan Hammons came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Juniors's Ahmet Efe Suheyl. But to his dismay, Ahmet Efe Suheyl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Quebec city FC's Brendan Hammons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Fernandes in the 80th minute of play. Brendan Hammons didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enzo Fernandes went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. After 87 played minutes Real Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Boruc Zdanowicz. Harvey Rivard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alisson Becker. Real Juniors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ahmet Efe Suheyl who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Brendan Hammons when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Boruc Zdanowicz hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Harvey Rivard came free in the 95th minute and tried to tip the ball over Alisson Becker, but to the joy of Real Juniors's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Alisson Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerrell Wooten in the 97th minute of play. Real Juniors's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
