An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Cremer-Ricken in the 3rd minute of play forced Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Leon Meyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Meyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serkan Gaar in the 4th minute of the match. Leon Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serkan Gaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Halil Ratkowski scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Meyer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Cremer-Ricken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leon Meyer having to make a save. Serkan Gaar might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Meyer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serkan Gaar ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute, Serkan Gaar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gotham Saray FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The supporters of Zijdewind SC booed when Gotham Saray FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niko Kalweit didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Serkan Gaar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gotham Saray FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serkan Gaar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Serkan Gaar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdi Dekens got free with Apolo Egoitz in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Gotham Saray FC's goalkeeper Apolo Egoitz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdi Dekens. 37 minutes into the match, Frank Cremer-Ricken notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Zijdewind SC's Leon Meyer. Leon Meyer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the game, Gotham Saray FC's Frank Cremer-Ricken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leon Meyer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Gotham Saray FC's Frank Cremer-Ricken got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute Konrad Nafz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Gotham Saray FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Serkan Gaar made the kick off in the second half. Frank Cremer-Ricken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leon Meyer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Niko Kalweit made a precise shot to the right of Leon Meyer. Zijdewind SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Frank Cremer-Ricken who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Leon Meyer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Serkan Gaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Leon Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Marcel Luirink hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Leik Blumenthal in the 70th minute really tested Leon Meyer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zijdewind SC's zone, Serkan Gaar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Meyer came out of the goal and Serkan Gaar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serkan Gaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Meyer having to interfere. Zijdewind SC's Rudi den Hartog got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Cremer-Rickens short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Leon Meyer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Till Schiefer during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Frank Cremer-Ricken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gotham Saray FC made a substitution. Hans Grabs replaced Serkan Gaar. Gotham Saray FC's Apolo Egoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdi Dekens in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute Rob Deiman suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Grabs during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zijdewind SC's Chiel Brinke was substituted for Rob Deiman. Hans Grabs kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's Robin ten Rouwelaar broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
