Carlisle United's Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Carlisle United from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Winfield in the 19th minute of play forced Blåvitt's goalkeeper Mike Cassar Torreggiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th match minute, Blåvitt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Lundberg to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Carlisle United's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Johansson came free, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
