Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlinhos Vidal in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Svante Forssberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute, Alex Petersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlisle United's Andreas Forsberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ola Britz, made in the 13th minute of the game. In the 48th minute, Thomas Power left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carlisle United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Carlisle United were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlinhos Vidal to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Andy Campbell could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Svante Forssberg however easily saved by the left post. Andy Campbells short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Svante Forssberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If 洪振义 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Andy Campbell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlisle United's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Campbell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Svante Forssberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Snett★inåt★bakåt fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Carlisle United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
