With an all-out effort, AFC Ajax's Donny Rowell threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aleksander Petka, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Donny Rowell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michelangelo Merganiotis in the 10th minute of the match. Crystal Phallus's Donny Rowell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Crystal Phallus from getting a goal against them. Donny Rowell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Sterpis in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, Crystal Phallus's Donny Rowell got control of the ball when German Sarracino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Crystal Phallus defense, Nikos Sterpis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donny Rowell. The Crystal Phallus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donny Rowell should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute AFC Ajax were awarded a corner. Aleksander Petka went to the cornerflag to take it. Nikos Sterpis scored 2-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donny Rowell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Donny Rowell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michelangelo Merganiotis's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. With an all-out effort, AFC Ajax's Donny Rowell threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michelangelo Merganiotis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Donny Rowell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Sarracino, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikos Sterpis was the one to do the kick off. Donny Rowell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michelangelo Merganiotis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donny Rowell came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Ajax's Nikos Sterpis. But to his dismay, Nikos Sterpis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Donny Rowell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michelangelo Merganiotis in the 56th minute of play. AFC Ajax made a substitution. Aureo Morera replaced German Sarracino. In the 59th minute of the match AFC Ajax got a corner. Crystal Phallus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miltos Margaritidis ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Lakis Tsopakis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Donny Rowell quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 65 minutes into the match, Crystal Phallus's goal looked a bit too open when Michelangelo Merganiotis came free, but Donny Rowell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When AFC Ajax's Markos Seremetidis in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crystal Phallus's goalie prevented a goal. Miltos Margaritidis made a great header on AFC Ajax's corner, it was just that Crystal Phallus's Donny Rowell managed to reach the ball for a save. Markos Seremetidis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donny Rowell having to make a save. In the 73rd minute Markos Seremetidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donny Rowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markos Seremetidis might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donny Rowell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Markos Seremetidis ran back to his position shaking his head. Donny Rowell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markos Seremetidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Noel Bush hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Noel Bush kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Reg Hampton got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Noel Bush. Markos Seremetidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markos Seremetidis in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donny Rowell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, Michelangelo Merganiotis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donny Rowell. Crystal Phallus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michelangelo Merganiotis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 91 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Michelangelo Merganiotis. Crystal Phallus's Donny Rowell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markos Seremetidis in the 94th minute of play. Donny Rowell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markos Seremetidis in the 95th minute of play.
