Theocharis Agapidis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ronny Westerberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dhafnospiliá BC's Nikos Tournas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Meck in the 16th minute of play. Ronny Westerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panos Telakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 25 minutes, Mårten Abrahamsson made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Dhafnospiliá BC's Nikos Tournas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petros Kalivrousis got free with Ronny Westerberg in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronny Westerberg made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Petros Kalivrousis sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Dhafnospiliá BC's Petros Kalivrousis got a free kick in the 29th minute. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Mikael Meck put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Nikos Tournas. Mikael Meck scored 0-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikos Tournas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Mikael Meck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikos Tournas. Dhafnospiliá BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mikael Meck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 44 played minutes Melchester Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Byström. The audience thought a goal was coming when Owen Colbert got free with Ronny Westerberg in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petros Kalivrousis to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Melchester Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Kalivrousis came free, but Ronny Westerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mikael Meck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikos Tournas was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The supporters of Dhafnospiliá BC booed when Melchester Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig Vikström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikos Tournas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Meck, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Mårten Abrahamsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Thanks to some nice moves Mårten Abrahamsson could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Nikos Tournas however easily saved by the left post. In the 71st minute Petros Kalivrousis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute of the match Melchester Rovers got a corner. Dhafnospiliá BC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hans Svensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 84th minute, Melchester Rovers's Brian Strömberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Brian Strömberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Melchester Rovers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Brian Strömberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ronny Westerberg had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Owen Colbert's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Dhafnospiliá BC's Owen Colbert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronny Westerberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. After a rather tough play, Dhafnospiliá BC's Nicasio Guijarro got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Hans Svensson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikos Tournas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Panos Telakis hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 98th match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikael Meck to maneuver through the defense. Owen Colbert might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronny Westerberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Owen Colbert ran back to his position shaking his head. The Dhafnospiliá BC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Melchester Rovers's performance. The match ended with a win for Melchester Rovers.
